19 Aout Sun. - Cafe de Flore, Luxembourg garden, Saint Sulpice

Walking along St Germain, we spotted Saint Micheal.  Did I tell you IT WAS HOT today!!

The famous Cafe de Flore
Where we talked to Terrance whose newsletter I have been reading for the last year.  He is a wealth of information, has a book, can set us up for cooking classes.  This man know French culture!  Anyone visiting Paris should come by Cafe de Flore to say 'hi' to him (Sundays 11:30-1:30)
Check out his website ~ http://paris-expat.com/events/sundays-at-the-cafe-de-flore-with-terrance/  We are in the current newsletter!

Haley in a fountain in front of Saint Sulpice
This is the second largest church in Paris and the paintings (although in need of repair) are amazing.  The statues are spectaculor.  And the cloth showing a man from Jesus' time is mind blowing.  I think it is Jesus.  To read more about the Saint Sulpice - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint-Sulpice,_Paris  if you go to the bottom of this article you will see how this church as been referenced in modern times, most notably the fictional Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown

We lit a candle for my dear Aunt Rita who passed away this past March.  Behind Haley is a cloth that is believed to have been wrapped around Jesus.  They can date it to his time period and identify a male image that is between 30-35 years old.  Incredibly you can see his face and body.

A LONG walk home!
